Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

All received questions and answers have been made public on the enpact website to ensure equal availability of information to all interested applicants.

For videography and photography, should one person handle both tasks, or is it acceptable to work with an assistant when needed?

Both options are acceptable. You may work individually or bring an assistant when needed to ensure high-quality delivery. In both cases, you must appoint a contract manager, that could be yourself, for the full duration of the contract. The contract manager will be responsible for overseeing all activities, ensuring timely completion of deliverables, and maintaining the required quality standards throughout the assignment.

Should I use my own equipment, or does your organization provide the necessary equipment?(mean you can cover some equipment’s)

Service providers are expected to use their own primary equipment. If any specialized equipment is needed beyond standard videography and photography equipment, the organization can cover or facilitate access to specific equipment upon prior agreement and based on program needs.

Is it required to have a registered company, or is working as a freelancer acceptable?

A registered company is not required. Freelancers are fully eligible to apply as long as they can provide all required documentation, deliverables, and invoices as outlined in the RFP.

For shooting approvals at different locations (such as permits or licenses for drone footage), will these be handled by your organization or by me?

The organization will coordinate access to all program-related venues where filming is required. Drone footage is not needed, as we prefer simple and straightforward on-ground shooting. If any additional permissions are required for specific locations, they will be handled directly by the program’s local team.

How many participants are expected to attend the DIRWENA events?

DIRWENA will bring together participants across two core events: a 4-day kick-off bootcamp at the beginning of the program, and a sustainability bootcamp at the end. Between these two touchpoints, a series of workshops and capacity-building sessions will run over the course of four months.

Overall, attendance is expected to reach up to 90 participants, with the highest concentration during the bootcamps.

Where will the events take place?

The DIRWENA program will be delivered in a hybrid format. All core events, including the kick-off bootcamp and the sustainability bootcamp, will take place in person in Erbil, Duhok, Al-Sulaimanyah and Halabja – with the exact venue to be confirmed and shared with the selected service providers in advance. Workshops and capacity-building sessions throughout the four-month program may take place either on-site in these governorates or online, depending on the activity and participant needs.

Can I have a brief meeting prior to submitting my offer?

To ensure a fair and transparent process for all applicants, individual pre-submission meetings cannot be accommodated.

However, any questions regarding the RFP can be submitted in writing within the specified inquiry period. All clarifications will be shared publicly to ensure equal access to information for all interested candidates.

Is submitting my resume and/or my portfolio enough to be considered for this call for offers?

No. While your resume and portfolio are important supporting documents, they are not sufficient on their own. To be considered, applicants must submit a complete offer that includes all information and documents specified in the RFP, including the technical and financial proposals.

Incomplete submissions will not be evaluated.
