What is enpact?
enpact e.V. is a Berlin-based non-profit organisation founded in 2013 and is driven by a team of 50+ impact seekers spread across Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
We are active across five fields in the field of startups:
- Mentoring programmes,
- Startup ecosystem data & research,
- Entrepreneurial expeditions and exchanges,
- Startup spaces and
- The design and implementation of tailored bootcamps for support organisations
At present, enpact’s network consists of 2500+ startups and scaleups, 600+ mentors & experts, and 150+ support organizations in 30+ countries. 10.000+ jobs have been created as a direct result of enpact’s work with startups.

Why is this role important?
Over the past year, enpact has become increasingly digital with our website, web-apps and other cloud solutions becoming pivotal for the impact that we make. Technology can help us to achieve more. It’s as simple as that and that’s why we’re looking for tech enthusiasts to take our digital presence and capabilities to the next level.
What does the role involve?
This initial project focusses on the improvement and maintenance of our WordPress website. Initial steps include:
- Working with the current custom theme to process a roadmap fixes, improvements and features.
- Adding new capabilities to the backed to enable the content team to work more autonomously.
- Upgrading the WordPress version and developing a maintenance plan.
- Working with our existing tech pro to improve the website deployment process.
In addition to the above, there are further projects that are currently in planning.
What are we looking for?
- An experienced WordPress developer that is confident working autonomously with both frontend and backend.
- Experience with integrating web-apps, e.g. React, within a WordPress environment.
- Comfortable working with best practices such as testing on multiple devices and browsers.
- Good availability in March 2021 and scope for long-term availability.
- English (full working proficiency)
- Bonus: design skills, SEO knowledge and wider full-stack knowledge.
