Junior Project Associate | Communications & Translation

enpact e.V. is looking for a Junior Project Associate to join our international team, with a special focus on communications and translations!

Are you interested in supporting the development of a growing NGO working at the intersection of international cooperation and entrepreneurship?

  • Location: Berlin, Germany
  • Languages: English & Ukrainian,
  • Start date: June 2024,
  • Working hours: Part-time (20-30 hours/week),
  • Duration: Project-based contract until the end of November 2024, possible extension depending on the project.

Your responsibilities

You will join the enpact team to support the communications and translation activities for the Just Transition through Entrepreneurship project, focused on supporting entrepreneurs in the Lviv and Volyn Oblasts, Ukraine, with a particular focus on those who are affected by the structural changes of the energy transition and the war-induced disruptions.

This includes:

  • Preparing drafts of internal and external communications in English and Ukrainian, for various audiences/recipients, including project team members, project participants and project partners,
  • Providing written translations of the project-related texts from English to Ukrainian and vice versa, including verbal or simultaneous translations for presentations, videos or clarifications when needed. 
  • Supporting the project’s communications team in content creation for social media platforms, website and print material.

Our ideal candidate has working experience in communications and English-Ukrainian translation. Ideally, you have worked on writing, editing and proofreading in Ukrainian, along with text development  for various target audiences.

Your profile

  • You are fluent in English and Ukrainian,
  • You bring experience in communications and translation, with a strong focus on creating engaging and high quality content in Ukrainian,
  • Previous experience in international communications, journalism, and social media management would be an asset,
  • You take a proactive approach with a hands-on mentality toward tasks and responsibilities,
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office and similar applications, project management tools such as Asana and open to learning other software programs for your day-to-day operations,
  • You are a team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a range of different cultural backgrounds.

The non-profit organization enpact was founded in 2013 with the goal of empowering entrepreneurship in the context of international economic cooperation. 

We work with entrepreneurs and support organizations across all development stages. Our approach is designed to facilitate quick and efficient access to the crucial resources for sustainable growth: financial support, training, mentoring, and network development. 

Since enpact was founded in 2013, the organization has grown to over 40 employees. Currently, we are operating in Africa and Eastern Europe. 

Together with GIZ, enpact is implementing the project ‘Just Transition through Entrepreneurship’, aiming to support Ukraine’s green recovery and just transition in the face of structural changes, economic challenges, and war-induced disruptions by providing holistic support for aspiring entrepreneurs, existing entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurial support organizations. The project consists of four tracks and is focused on the coal mining regions of Volyn and Lviv Oblasts in Ukraine.
