Berlin Landing Pad Program: Cohort 1

Ready to expand your business to the European Market?


The Berlin Landing Pad program aims to support collaborations and partnerships across entrepreneurial ecosystems internationally. The program will encourage businesses from around the world to engage with the ecosystem in Europe. This support includes: facilitating market entry and business set-up, supporting in removing access barriers, and creating connections and partnerships within the Berlin startup ecosystem. 

The program in a nutshell

  • August: Getting ready

    This phase will take place online and provide interactive content on topics such as Product-Market-Fit and Investor-Readiness as well as practical sessions on legal regulations and taxation in Germany, getting to know the German SaaS market, and a comparative analysis of German and Asian business cultures.

  • September: Diving deep

    This phase will take place in Berlin where you will get to meet fellow entrepreneurs, investors, experts and other ecosystem players. You will also take part in the 25th edition of the AsiaBerlin Summit, the largest annual event connecting startup ecosystems across Asia and Europe through interactive discussions, talks, and pitching and networking opportunities.

  • October: Planning ahead

    This phase will take place online and involve taking concrete steps towards your expansion to Berlin. You will take part in tailored mentoring and regular consultations. By the end of this phase, you will have your expansion roadmap with actionable steps to prepare for market entry.

Who can apply?


To qualify for the Berlin Landing Pad, your business should be: 

  • Based in Asia 
  • Operating in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sector 
  • Have proven traction with local customer base, audience growth and revenue growth 
  • Have the capacity and financial resources needed to enter European market via Berlin 
  • Have products/services with a strong product-market-fit potential for Europe/Germany
  • Dedicated to pushing forward economic equality and diverse representation

Qiwii

Offering a virtual queuing system, Qiwii helps companies improve customer experience, build brand loyalty, and capitalise on new revenue streams. Headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia, it currently benefits 200 companies and 25000 active users – with the potential to serve many more. 

Baku

Baku is an Indonesian supply chain agritech company working to improve the livelihood and productivity of more than 2000 poultry farmers through smart farming systems and lean pre-harvesting processes. Baku is also serving to fast-track the world’s transition to sustainable food – and towards achieving SDG 2: Zero Hunger.

Expoloader

Providing shipping container optimisation via load planning, space optimisation, and 3D simulation, Sri Lankan Expoloader is designed to streamline the packing experience. By elevating supply chain efficiency, Expoloader has the potential to connect world markets more effectively than ever. 

Xeptagon

Xeptagon provides state-of-the-art software using a Full Stack Development team who strive hard to solve complex business problems. Specialising in R&D-based advanced software development and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the company is based in Sri Lanka but currently helps deliver value around the globe.  

BooleanLabs

Headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka, BooleanLabs has embarked on the mission of providing organisations, societies, and governments with creative and tech-based innovative product solutions. Maxsol Pro is an offshore development company, headquartered in Sri Lanka, that offers state-of-the-art application development solutions. One of their current exciting offerings is a robust clinical trial management mobile application, which would allow for accelerated data analysis – and faster yet more intuitive drug approvals.

Lemin 

Lemin offers simple yet powerful protection from brute-force login attacks, credential stuffing, and other automated threats via gamified Captcha. Based in Japan, Lemin offers universally acceptable security products – while alleviating all the pains associated with traditional captcha.

Crafted in Sri Lanka but first deployed in the German market, the application has the potential to revolutionise the restaurant industry – both in Germany and beyond.
