International Mentoring Program: West Africa

enpact launched a new chapter in Sub-Saharan Africa with the International Mentoring Program in 2017/2018.

The successful model of the International mentoring Program was brought to West Africa starting 2017. During the 8-months program, 29 entrepreneurs developed a strong international network, received insights and learnings from mentors and their peers, and were able to improve and grow their businesses.

5 Nigerians, 16 Ghanaians, 1 Cameroonian and 7 Europeans were selected from 242 applicants. This diverse collection of business owners met for the first time at a bootcamp in Germany for 5 days packed with interactive workshops, mentoring, story-telling, pitch training and other activities aimed at personal and professional development. The program also featured a site visit for each of the entrepreneurs’ local hubs from their mentors, then everyone regrouped for a bootcamp in Ghana near the end of the eight months.

The core of the enpact mentoring program is always the focus on deep-dive one-on-one mentoring sessions, starting off with face-to-face during the camps and supplemented by regular online calls in between.

Our international mentors were specifically selected based on their coaching ability and their relevant entrepreneurial experience.
