Yearbook 2020 is now live – Our Biggest Publication to Date!

One of enpact’s 2021 strategic objectives is to not only do good but to also talk about it. I am therefore very glad that in 2019 we piloted the enpact yearbook, which provides the reader and our network with a kaleidoscopic overview on our programs, participants, partners, successes, failures and lessons learned.

As it lies in the nature of “first-ever” projects, it took a bit longer to see the light of day. So, I had high hopes that our 2020 yearbook would be published much earlier — ideally on January 1, 2021.

Well, the fact that you are reading this blog post only now is  painful evidence of how much I yet again underestimated the workload of this beautiful and meaningful project. There is an international proverb that comes to mind as an excuse: “The later the evening, the more beautiful (and pleasant) are the guests”.

Be that as it is, I am very proud that our 2020 yearbook is finally published.

2020 will go down in history as one of the strangest years in everyone’s lifetimes, and it was the same for us at enpact.

There were some interesting and unexpected events, though. While the pandemic closed and locked down so much, it made enpact — and subsequently the sheer volume of our yearbook — grow. We were also rather close to shutting down throughout the year, but we came out of the crisis stronger and more determined than before, with a better understanding of ourselves and a greater dedication to our mission.

Again, this would not have been possible without our participants, partners, stakeholders and, last but not least, those at the very forefront of everything we do — our team of enpactors! While everyone deserves kudos, my personal special thanks go out to Lucas and Annika from Redhill for their patience in the editorial process, Salma and Noha from enpact for the continuous support on the yearbook, Cindy from Redhill for the amazing design, and Michael from enpact for the final proofreading.

We’re proud to introduce the new kid on the block  — our 2020 yearbook!
