In 2019, we hosted the ninth edition of our International Mentoring Program for a cohort of West African & European startups. For this edition, 30 entrepreneurs, ten mentors, and three experts participated in the 8-month program, kicking off with a five-day bootcamp in Ghana.

The program kicked off with the first bootcamp in November 2019, where the mentors and entrepreneurs had the chance to first get to know each other in a beach setting in Elmira, Ghana. The bootcamp started with the 1-on-1 mentoring sessions; the core of any of enpact’s mentoring programs. During the sessions, connections develop that facilitate the knowledge exchange between the mentor and entrepreneur and focus on building long-term relationships that foster mutual growth and development.

The bootcamp also included workshops for the entrepreneurs to develop their business models, work on their pitch training and map out their ecosystems. At the end of the bootcamp week, enpact hosted a Startup Fair to give all participants the opportunity to network with the local startup ecosystem in Accra and showcase their progress throughout the bootcamp.

Following the bootcamp, the mentors and our team returned to Ghana in February 2019 for the 2nd module of the program – site visits. The mentors visited the participating startups in their home base, toured in the Ghanian ecosystem, hosted workshops, got to know the local startup staff and partners, and conducted 1-on-1 mentoring sessions with the whole team.

As always, we are very thankful for the enpact mentors and experts who joined us for the International Mentoring Program; their contributions, expertise and hard work is beyond appreciated.

About enpact’s International Mentoring Program:

This interactive mentoring program supports entrepreneurs during eight months via mutual learning and network-building opportunities.

enpact’s mentoring programs enable young founders to create a long-term network with other business owners, mentors, and experts that may not exist in their home country, over the course of an eight-month-long program. Up 30 young entrepreneurs and business startups work together in groups over the course of the journey, accompanied and coached by renowned serial entrepreneurs from enpact’s international network, and experienced entrepreneurs and experts of the local ecosystem.
