Stockholm meets Cairo

For the 3rd year in a row, enpact partnered with the Swedish Institute and Swedish Embassy in Egypt to hold the Delegation Trip at RiseUp Summit, MENA regions’ largest innovation summit. 2019’s theme focused on the Journey to Growth, focusing on discussing the next steps for the ecosystem as a whole to grow across the region, from personal development and all the way to scaling entire national economies.

The Delegation attended the RiseUp summit in the American University in Cairo and met with key ecosystem players, investors, entrepreneurs and support organizations from the region.

The 2019 delegation consisted of entrepreneurs and experts across various fields, including virtual reality, training and human development, music, sports, audiobooks, engineering and 3D manufacturing. The delegation participants had the opportunity to exhibit their products, participate in talks, speak on stage, and lead workshops throughout the summit. They also took part in the RiseUp Investors’ Dinner, an annual networking event for investors and key ecosystem stakeholders, held at the Swedish Embassy in 2019.

During the Summit, we also officially launched the first edition of the Startup Friendliness Index (SFI) Egypt report.
