Ecosystem Builders Algeria aims to accelerate the Organizational Capacities and Performance of incubators  and startups in Algeria, focusing on building networks and bridges. Through institutional capacity building, direct support for startups, and international partnerships, the project contributes to economic diversification, sustainable job creation, and digital and green innovation.

Applications are now open for aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative ideas/projects in the agritech or agribusiness sectors. Selected participants will receive tailored technical assistance, expert coaching, and milestone-based financial support to help transform promising ideas into market-ready ventures, while building connections with regional and international innovation networks.

How does the project support me?


Idea Development Component

Direct financial support

Access up to EUR 3,750 in financial support to develop prototypes, test ideas, and build proof-of-concepts. (Financial support is disbursed in milestone-based installments following successful completion of the participant’s growth roadmap set at the start of the project.)

Expert training

Take part in an entrepreneurial training track covering technical support, and expert mentoring covering business model development, financial planning, market access, and investor readiness fundamentals.

Network development

Become part of the Algerian Entrepreneurs Alumni Network, enabling continued collaboration, peer learning, and long-term support beyond the project.

Internationalization Component

 

Internationalization Preparatory bootcamp

Participate in a dedicated pre-departure bootcamp designed to help you refine your business pitch, define your international objectives, and prepare for meaningful engagement with investors, buyers, and strategic partners.

International Trade Fairs and Learning Tours

Participate in international trade fairs and learning tours in Africa and Europe, connecting with investors, customers, and innovation ecosystems to strengthen collaboration potential between Algerian startups and their counterparts within Africa and in Europe. This participation includes site visits, B2B meetings, and networking opportunities designed to foster international partnerships.*

Tailored coaching

Benefit from personalized coaching to transform your idea into a viable business as part of the internationalization component.

*Participation in the internationalization component will be decided through a separate application and selection process. Up to 35 participants will be selected for the internationalization activities: up to 25 participants from the Startups Track and up to 10 participants from the Ideas Track.

How do I know if this is the right project for me?


To qualify for the Ecosystem Builders Algeria Ideas Track, you should: 

  • Be an eligible national or resident of Algeria
  • Present a clear idea, concept or early-stage prototype in agriculture, agrifood or agritech
  • Demonstrate strong motivation to grow the idea through the incubation process
  • Commit to actively participating in workshops, coaching and follow-up activities
  • Commit to regular reporting on milestones and progress
  • Comply to all obligations outlined in the participants’ agreement
  • Not have previously received funding in the form of any grants

How does it work?

    #1 Fill the application form

    Complete the online application form with basic information about your innovative idea/project. The application takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.

    #2 Prepare your documents for Round 2

    Round 1 applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the application period. If your application meets the eligibility requirements for the Ideas Track, you will receive an invitation to continue to Round 2. Invitations will be sent to eligible applicants until 17 September 2026.

    #3 Complete your Round 2 application

    If invited, you will have 72 hours to complete the second stage of the application. During this stage, you will be asked to provide additional information about your innovative idea and upload:

    — Proof of identity

    — Proof of Concept or Pitch Deck

    — A 1–2 minute introductory video introducing yourself and your startup

    #4 Wait for the evaluation process

    All applications will be reviewed according to the Eligibility and Selection Criteria. Depending on your application, you may be invited to a short clarification call to discuss your innovative project, its development potential, and application in more detail.

    #5 Keep an eye out on your inbox

    All applicants can expect to receive the outcome of their application by the first week of October 2026. Successful applicants will receive further information about onboarding and the next steps for joining Ecosystem Builders Algeria.
